Great potential but falls short

This remote has excellent potential - the power and capabilities of the device are outstanding. Unfortunately, it's many shortcomings outweigh the benefits. It is an abomination ergonomically. It is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to reprogram or customize. You have to connect to the internet and go through a painfully slow process everytime you want to change or update anything - even just reassigning one button! When calling technical support for help, after being on hold for a few minutes they make you leave a message - no other options! The Harmony 688 is quite possibly the biggest waste of potential I have ever seen in any consumer electronic device!
