Reto look with modern efficiency

The Bottom Line: Excellent, inexpensive, and allows you to be creative
We like to do a lot of things homemade around here - root beer, bread, preserves.
My husband has a love of milkshakes and likes to order them in quite large sizes! This machine allows us to make milkshakes at home for far less than we would pay if we were dining out somewhere.
I have found that I can mix so many things in here and I appreciate the two different mixing speeds. There are several things which I do not like, but for the most part it does a decent job.
The cup is a generous size. We have special "beer stein" glasses which hold these milkshake contents perfectly. I find that mixing things with chunks (like a chunky ice cream or fruit) tends to send the chunks quickly to the bottom and they aren't mixed as easily into the rest of the drink.
The mixer is easy to clean because it's basically a tilt head with a mixing stick. That's it. Pull it out, clean it - done. The mixing stick could be a little better and I find it takes a little longer than a blender to thoroughly mix things.
That being said, it is best to start on a slow speed when mixing and then go to the higher speed. It's not too loud, either and is a lot quieter and less bulky than using the regular blender.
I have the retro green color and everybody always comments on it. It's a big hit in our kitchen and sometimes we get asked, "What's that thing that looks like an alien?" We say
"Our milkshake maker."
