Good value and quality unit

This cooker was purchased after having a bad experience with a 100 dollar plus unit from a top of the line company. This works really well. I like the look of it but I agree the case is a bit on the plain side as stated in another review.

The unit offers several settings as well as the lock and go lid. That in itself is very nice so you dont have spilled contents when you go around a bend! Also the lid wont break or crack the crock which has happened before with other units when transporting repeatedly. Very nice feature that the lid locks.

The crock is a nice shape - oval - and holds a nice size roast or whole chicken. There are six in my family so that is a must for me.

The unit cooks well and at the desired levels so nothing gets overdone or dried out. I have had the meal done before we were ready to eat and just moved the setting to warm and everything was still good.

The cleanup is good - just remove the crock when cool and clean. I do have to admit that I LOVE the new crock pot liners and use them all the time. I put homemade mashed potatoes that I cooked on the stove in the crock on warm with the liner and only a small amount dries out on the bottom. A nice was to have mashed potatoes done on a holiday when burner space is so needed!

All of my recipes for crockery cooking have done well in this unit. I would say it is a dependable workhorse and since I paid less than 30 dollars for it on sale I am very happy with that.

Another thing I do is lock the lid until the meal is done. That way my kids know not to open it until the lid is unlocked and they call me to make sure if I am not home. The spoon rest on the top is also very nice.

Overall a good unit at a good price. Works really well.
I have given two as gifts and they are being used often and happily.
