Not sure that these work.
Pros:
Aggressively priced: $79 on sale at Target. Looks cool. Small
Cons:
Doesn't get any colder than 60 degrees. This is kinda a deal breaker.
The Bottom Line:
Can't recommend this -- they don't seem to work very well.

Author's Review
I am presently on my second unit. The first was bought two days ago at Target for $79. The temperature is controlled by a small knob towards the rear of the unit, outside. It can be set to either Red or White, or anywhere inbetween.
There is no indication, on the unit or in the manual, of what temperature range to expect out of this unit. I would expect that, when set at the White setting, as far as the knob will go, that the temperature would be somewhere in the mid to low 40 degree range.
The first unit that I got would not go below 60 degrees after being plugged in for two days.
I confirmed with Haier tech support that it should be getting a whole bunch colder than 60 degrees...
Since there are no other adjustable controls, other than the knob, the support tech that I spoke with recommended that I exchange the unit for another one.
The replacement unit has been plugged in for about 2 hours and is also leveling off at 60 degrees...
I have confirmed that my thermometer is good by placing it in my conventional refrigerator, which reads a little under 40 degrees...
It's worth noting that my ambient temperature is in the mid 70's, so it's not like I'm in Death Valley, expecting miracles from thermo-electric technology.
Sooo, there you have it. I'm not convinced that these things work. If this replacement doesn't go lower than 60 degrees, I'll try one more.
