Great Expectations

This movie is wonderful! I've seen it 5 or more times and I will see it so many times more. This movie is about an old love obsessed woman who takes many years making Fin (Ethan Hawk) fall in love with Estella (Gweneth Paltrow) just to see Estella break his heart. She does this in hopes to cure her own heart break from a man who she claims took advantage her at the old age of 42. She remained a virgin till that night and she thought she was in love. This same man left her at the alter at their wedding. She has not been cured of this heart ache and seeing another's with the same pain, she thought, would make her feel better. In the end she feels worse for doing this to poor fin. Fin's whole life now revolved around Estella and he is mad. After all he's been through, he and Estella can not be because his love for her was forced upon him. Fin grows up and becomes a wealthy artist not seeing Estella for a very long time, but one day he goes back to see his home where he is informed that the old lady (Mrs. Dinzmore) has past away a few years ago all alone. He stops by the old lady's house to think. He see's Estella again at this house with her young daughter. She apologizes for the pain she caused him. He accepts.
I thought this was a spectacular movie. Every romantic should see it. I give it 2 thumbs up!
