Fort Knox for your memory cards !

With room to store 8 cards in 1 place this little Card safe is a sure winner !
I currently shoot with 2 different media types, Compact flash and Secure Digital cards in 1 camera ! I used to use 2 different card holders and several little individual plastic card sleeves. That was until I found this guy.

My Gepe Card safe is a neon Green/yellow Polyethylene card holder. The card safe is 4"X3"x3/4" is size and about 60 grams in weight. The card safe is a 2 leaf design, that is locked closed via a very well built full length lever clamp that locks it closed really tight. The hinge on the other end is also full length and sorts a stainless steel full length hinge pin. The hinge, clasp and inner flange of the card holder form a water/dust and weather tight seal. I have dropped my card safe into a puddle and fearing the worst I dried off the outside quickly before opening the case to find my cards and interior BONE DRY.

The inside of the card safe is made from a solid but supple grey rubber type material that holds your cards safe and very secure.

The internal card holder has various preformed positions for CF,SC,SD,SM,MS and MMC cards. With my set up, I can load 4 SD cards and 4 CF card at the same time. The SD Cards fit under the Compact Flash Card slots. To me the best feature about the GEPE Safe is the ability to view which card (size) is in what spot. The Plastic case has see through windows on the outside that enables you to view the smaller buried cards from the outside.

Initially you will find that the cards are quite difficult to get in and out of the holder, but with use this becomes quite easy to master as the card holder will wear just the right amount to allow you to use your finger nail.

Now here is the biggest flaw with all muticard holders. If after a vacation, holiday or photo shoot, you happen to loose the holder, your truly hooped. The Gepe comes in some really vivid colors which can help in misplacing your card holder(s).
