Product Review

Glitchy camera eats batteries but has sufficient megapixels for great images

by   epinioncyote ,   Jan 10, 2004

Pros:  Took excellent images when it would stay in the On mode; pocket-sized; sturdy

Cons:  Glitch in the boot-up circuitry; eats batteries; slow between shots

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

Our camera had trouble with start-up; it would sometimes boot up then just shut off before one could use it; this glitch was intermittent and was unrelated to the type of battery we had in the camera; the same thing might occur when running off the plug-in power supply; I agree that it eats batteries faster than Bugs eats carrots (expensive lithium batteries do better); we took it back the the Gateway Country store-front from where it was purchased but could not get a refund since we were past the 15-day limit; however, they did order a new one and it will be mailed to us and we will ship back the defective one; I agree that the time between shots is slow but this 5-megapixel camera gave us really excellent images and consistently if the camera is operated properly; if the replacement is glitch-free we will be satisfied with the unit for the money.
