Author's Review

I tried one of these players as an alternative to a larger player such as the iPod (which I also own). Yes, I knew on the onset that these players were in a different league, and expected a significant difference, so please do think I am comparing the two. I liked the size, the features and the price of this player - however the likes ended there!

First and foremost, the build quality is horrible. The player did not want to latch securely into the holder, the rocker switch and thumb control were quirky at best - definitely not a hint of quality. Furthermore the FM reception is so bad (even outdoors - forget it at the gym) that it's a wasted feature. I didn't explore the rest of the player at this point - I returned it the same day.

I have had good luck with Gateway branded items (in this case, clearly a Creative product) - however this one is a major letdown.
