Very good unit!

Wonderful screen; intuitive interface; what are you waiting for? When you buy the add-on mapsource software, you get great auto navigation.

The color screen is very good; high resolution & colorful. Very readable in broad daylight. You do need to turn on the backlight when it's dark, but that's very easy to do. In a car, it's more readable in the shade than on the dash (more of a problem with your eyes adjusting to outside brightness than a screen issue).

The unit interface is easy to use.

I bought the auto navigation kit (includes adhesive and friction mounting hardware, 12V power cable, and Mapsource CitySelect Navigator software). This kit is outstanding. The friction mount (essentially a beanbag with mounting hardware) nestles on your dash, and you can clip the unit to the mount. The unit takes power from the 12V cable and turns backlight on automatically.

After downloading map information from Mapsource, the unit will auto-find a route, to a destination input by you on the unit, or downloaded from the PC. (Or you can route on the PC and download the route to your unit). The USB interface (included with basic unit) works well.

I only have two quibbles so far: (1) Changing compass display from NE to 40 degrees takes too many menu keys (I hope they fix that with a firmware upgrade); (2) Some of the manual descriptions are terse (Battery saver: Puts GPS into battery saver operation mode. Yeah, right, and what is battery saver mode?)
