GE WPRE6100G2WT was delivered December 30, 2008. After doing several loads of wash, I noticed water vapor collecting in the "time remaining" display. The technician came out on January 8, 2009. He showed me that there is nothing between the tub and display which would prevent moisture from rising from the tub. In checking the available information from GE, he could find no fix and he said there is no recall on this model. I called several numbers at GE and sent GE an e-mail. Their only solution was to send out a technician. In discussing my options with the store of purchase, I decided to give this model another chance since I really do like the way it cleans, extracts water, runs quietly...Unfortunately, this machine also lets water vapor in the display. Over time, this can only hurt the electrical circuitry. Obviously, it's like the technician said: defective design. Unfortunately, I will have to exercise my other option and purchase a different washing machine.
