Microwave Combination is Disappointing

We purchased this microwave / Oven when we remodeled our kitchen and we went with all GE products to have consistency but were disappointed in the quality of the GE Advantum oven and GE's customer service.

Out of the box we immediately noticed tooling die marks (little scratches) by all of the keypad buttons. GE sent (3) new panels all had the same problem so am just living with this noticeable flaw in quality. The microwave door fogged up between the panels when used. We called GE and the customer service rep said it is supposed to do that?? Finally GE had a technician change out the door and it works fine now. We have used it as an oven but there has been some discoloration on the inside that we can not get rid of and is difficult to clean. It heats OK as an oven but works better as a microwave.

If you get the built in kit and are going to install it yourself be careful it is produced overseas and they do not de burr the sheet metal and I got a cut that required stitches. So it would help to run a file around the edges before you begin.

Do some research before you go with a brand you think is a good one
