Very good earbuds

I have little experience with a variety of earbuds, so this review will not be as in-depth as some with more experience. The main emphasis in getting these earbuds were due to the fact that the music playing at the gym is very loud. The earbuds included with the iPod nano were very poor in isolation from the ambient music. Usually the volume would have to be turned up very high to actually hear the music from the iPod. This is not good due to the potential to damage one's hearing.

My initial attempt to obtain earbuds to more sound isolating than the iPod earbuds were the Skullcandy earbuds. Those were very poor, and I returned them the next day. I could not even move in the gym without the silicone fitting loosening out of the ear canal.

I went with the JVC earbuds due to the fact that there were foam fittings included with the earbuds. There are also silicone fittings, but I have not tried them as of yet. Once the foam inserts are placed properly into the ear canal there is a major difference in sound isolation from exterior noise. It is not fully isolating, but it does a very good job. The foam inserts remain in the ear canal during all of my workouts (lifting weights and cardio). The sound can be left at lower volumes, and still can hear the music clearly. This is very important in keeping one's hearing safe from damage. The wire cords are also of sufficient thickness as to not get tangled easily.

I think that the sound quality is good, and I have nothing to complain about in this department. Others may have a different view, but I am not an expert. All I want is to hear the music clearly with good quality. This product performs up to this standard. Considering that I paid $25 for these, I think that it does a great job for the money.
