Classic Series with Incredible Entrance!

This movie is, and should be considered one of the best horror movies of all time. This movie, (and Halloween) set the principles that most past and current horror movies revolve around. Some one gets killed, and then more people start dying based on revenge factor. In Horror movies, all the goodies that make them good can be measured with the quality of the Killer, the music, and the surprise factor. With these in mind, this movie has it all. The killer ofcourse is Mrs. Voorhees, played wonderfully by actress Betsy Palmer. Her performance at the climax of the movie is perfect, even though she isnt in most of the movie. This movie draws a excellent blend of mystery and shock, usually the slasher movies with the smaller body counts are more impressive, just from the natural tension build. One of the biggest stars of this movie is the music, which is composed by Henry Manfredini. This is one of the most well known horror melodies, which became the staple of the Jason Vorhees death march as the series progressed. Between the decapitation, and the surprise entrance of rotting youth Jason, I think this may be the best ending of any horror movie. I believe it even surpasses the incredible ending of Halloween. If you have not seen this original classic, you must rent and watch it with the lights out. It is almost a guarantee that you will want the lights back on quickly.
