What Have You Done For Me Lately?

Date of Review:  Aug 14, 2005
The Bottom Line: A vehicle for a growing family, that will provide years of reliable transportation.
Review: The Ford Taurus has been a true icon in American cars, as it has been around since the 1980's. For many years it was the bestselling vehicle in the United States, which was no easy feat. The Taurus has always faced heavy competition from Japanese...

2005 Taurus A Good Family Car

Date of Review:  Jan 25, 2007
The Bottom Line: A good, roomy, reliable car for a bargain price, but beware of fast depreciation
Review: In March of 2006, I traded in my 2002 F-150 and bought a slightly used 2005 Ford Taurus. The reason for this change came on the heels of my wife and I learning that we were expecting our first child in October. We needed a good family sedan for a...

A little too fussy for this climate

Date of Review:  Feb 17, 2008
The Bottom Line: It's an ok car, but I'm sure you can do better for the money, it feels cheap and is too fussy for any climate where it rains
Review: I wouldn't have picked a Ford Taurus if I hadn't needed a car immediately. I wish I would have waited since it seems that this model year doesn't like moisture at all.

First I'll start with the good, it drives nice. It's smooth and brakes...

Uninspired but decent basic transporation

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: This car might be considered average if you didn't look at the offerings from Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. All three have better warranties, reliability, more power, and lower weight.
Review: I received my 2005 Ford Taurus brand new with one mile on it. I am a sales rep for a large corporation, and myself and thousands of others receive a new Ford Taurus either every 3 years, or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. My previous company...

Ford No More?

Date of Review:  Aug 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: I am sure you can do better with a choice of a Japanese car over the Ford sedans. Ford might build quality, but do they have good engineering?
Review: I rented a 2005 Ford Taurus during a trip to Las Vegas in August 2005, and drove it on the highway about 200 miles each way. This is the second Ford product I have rented in recent years, not by choice mind you, but because that is what the rental...

Ford Taurus SE Sedan

Date of Review:  May 5, 2009
Review: It took me a year to find my Ford Taurus.  After taking the car for a test drive, I was totally impressed with the way the car handle on the road.  I love my car.

Ford is a rip off

Date of Review:  Jul 11, 2008
Review: I have NEVER in my life driven a car where the transmissions only make it to 78.800 miles. My son had a Ford taurus and lost his transmission around the same mileage as well. Ford must be living up the the old name "fix or repair daily"
Never...
