Love it

I bought my 1997 Aerostar new and I had owned a 1992 before hand. The 92 had rusted out so I got this one rust proofed. If you get one get it rust proofed, they tend to rust out on the side pannels. My van is great to drive on the highway and I find it very comfortable. Some expensive items that you will run into if you do buy one are regular tuneups as they can not be done by you. You have to get a shop to change sparkplugs as you cant get at them. They charge about 1.5 hours labour to do this job. The fan belt cost about $75.00 (in Canada)and has to be replaced every couple of years. The rads are pressed together and some tend to seperate. Front breaks on the 97 seem to make a lot of noise and they tend to grab when it is damp out.

Other than the above I find the van to be tough and reliable and it has never let me down.
