Author's Review

I bought my 1985 Ford E150 Wagon in 2002 with 158,000 Km's on the clock. Now it sits at 180,000 Km's and is still going strong. I have replaced rear tires and changed the slave cylinder (it is a 4 speed manual tranny) but done nothing else other than keep up with engine oil changes, tranny and differential oil changes.

Even after some 20,000 Km's the front brakes are at 60 % and the rears are at 80%. When I bought it the front brakes were at 65% and the rears were at 80%!

Gas mileage sucks but this is a 300 CI straight six mated to a manual tranny so it rocks on the highway. It still has a carb so yearly adjustments are neccessary to get her through Aircare.

I only paid $ 4000 for her and I plan to keep her another 5 years or so. Very little if any rust so this is a good bet. I will definitely buy another full-size van when the time comes and likely a Ford.

Oh yeah. Parts seem to be really inexpensive possible sue tothe fact that ther are so many of these E150's out there.
