FF7 the great hope

[Spoilers]
FF7 THE epic RPG of all time, so some say. When this game first came out the stores got bum rushed by thousands and thousands of people. Just on the first day. This game may just be the best RPG of all time. Maybe its not. From the very first time I got into a fight, I knew that this was going to be a great game. Those first two soldiers on the train platform started, for me, what would be the most epic quest I have ever set out on.
Each characters background is so well designed that this game keep you interested each and every second. Most of the characters even make you feel like you know them. Square did such a good job on them that after awhile you seem like your involved, or like your helping them actually do something. Clouds background was similar to Fei from Xenogears. Shrouded in mystery and all kinds of twist. It made you actually wounder during your day you think about him as if he was real, because you want to know what really happened.
The graphics were outstanding for its time. The big 'super deformed' characters were loved by many people round them world despite the few magazines people ect. who say that they looked bad. The background graphics were also outstanding. They each had little peaces that would stand out so you noticed them. Each town was designed amazingly. The camera locks in the town were great to. The way each town had a different camera view to fit its towns specifics.
The materia system was also just outstanding. The way you could mix and match different pairs really made for a great reply value. How you could make it so your normal attacks would cause the enemy to be poisoned by pairing added effect and poison materia in your weapons paired materia slots. The way you could mix the materia so it would cast spells or summons 2 and 4 times in a row. Being able to get them levels up so they can be used more and then eventually 'give birth' to another materia just like it. The materia system is one of the aspects that made this game so fun to play over and over again.
The battle system was very good to. Made for a lot of fun. All the different option when you added materia into the mix. The equipping of a master materia made it oh so much fun in battles. Having all those options was just like having control over those monsters. Like a bully having control over a kid. Also the limit breaks made for a great time to. Watching Omnislash for the first time will forever be burned into my memory. It was just like 'wow', that's all I could say.
The story is by far the best story in a RPG there ever has been and ever will be for along time now in my opinion. Aeris's death was THE most memorable RPG moment in thousands of peoples minds. Including mine. The way the story unfolded and showed Clouds past with Sephiroth was like a story within a story.
If you don't have this game yet its only 20$ now so you should get it
ASAP. The only down side is there is a huge percentage of random battles. It gets tiring after awhile but if you have lots of materia to add more options to your battle menu you should be okay.
