Product Review

Volume and Tone

by   af97msc ,   Dec 14, 2004

Pros:  Tone. Size. Power. Price. Loud and clear. Fits in my gig bag.

Cons:  Add standard effects and a xlr hole.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

Goal:
1. Unobtrusive powerful battery powered amp to bring my levels up.
2. Simple, affordable, loud and clear.

Needed something behind me for Church gig. Did not want a
big amp, in fact, did not want to hassle with even plugging in. I compared this to other battery amps. (Crate, too big, Roland Cube and 15, neat, but lacking volume, Ibanez, to much Hi Freq, AER Alpha...600 bucks!).

By far the loudest and most pure in tone was the Fender Amp can. Well, OK, the AER....but 600 bucks?

No effects, but I have plenty of pedals for the goo. I didn't buy this for that though, if you are going for simple tone and volume in as small as package as possible, then this is currently the one to get.

Goal met on all points. Nice job Fender.
