"Fantasia 2000" proves that less is definitely still less.

The Bottom Line: Fantasia was a classic. Fantasia 2000, while it has some very good parts, is basically an imitation. Not counting a repeated number from Fantasia, it's almost an hour shorter, too.
Review: The key to understanding what Fantasia 2000 is lies in the timing: 75 minutes as opposed to the original Fantasia's 120. Disney apparently figures they can short you by 45 minutes, put the result on a HUGE screen backed by several hundred speakers,...

A Fair Follow-up

The Bottom Line: A fair treat, but sorrowfully lacking the quality of its predecessor.
Review: Financial Mogul Walt Disney may have regretted the making of the original Fantasia, but the musical tastes of American audiences have matured over the years since its release, giving it the respect it deserved back in my grandparents' day.
