This was the canister vacuum I had purchased to replace my ever-famous Eureka SuperBroom (you may refer to my SuperBroom review-
http://www.epinions.com/content_53480033924).
I wanted to buy a smaller vacuum for quick pick-ups instead of dragging out that big upright out of my closet and attaching those heavy, stretch hoses. I was also getting tired of my upright tipping over when I stretched the hose across the room to clean the floor. Even my own mother complained how heavy the hoses were when she borrowed the vacuum to clean the drapes.
I wanted a good, small canister, under $100, that has decent suction, and convenience to buy replacement bags at a retail store. I had purchased through the Home Shopping Network website the Euro-Pro Tiny Wonder Vacuum. The suction was actually too strong...my wrists were hurting me after using it ONCE on low pile carpeting in my apartment. You can only buy replacement bags through their website (the bags were so small, they looked like miniature brown paper bags that you pack your lunch in) at a cost of about $16 a pack. The vacuum also gave off a strange smell when it's on. I ended up returning the vacuum back to Home Shopping Network.
I went to Sears and it just so happened that this Mighty Mite 3670 was on sale for $59.99. This is "The Boss" version of the Mighty Mite vacuum which featured a 7 foot crush-proof hose, carpet/floor nozzle, two poles, suction control, crevice tool, all purpose tool (a double-nozzled tool with a small opening on one end and the dusting tool on the other end...it's designed for you to remove from the hose, flip the tool over, and re-attach the other side), 20 foot wrap-around cord, and two dust bags (one already installed in the vacuum).
I am very impressed with the machine itself. The suction is phenomenal, yet very easy to push on carpet. The hose is long enough so you spend less time dragging the unit around with you...I'm even able to vacuum between my love seat and wall without having to have the unit wedged between an end table and my sofa. The unit itself is lighter than my bowling ball. The replacement bags can be purchased at any retail store that carries genuine Eureka bags at $3.99 for a bag of three. I can clean my entire apartment with the unit plugged in the kitchen.
The crevice tool stores in a hole below the carrying handle of the main unit. My only complaint is that there is no space on the unit to store the all-purpose tool. Oh well, I just leave it on the hose and store it in the closet. It's convenient for me to whip out in a hurry to vacuum up any crawling bugs on my walls or ceiling (sorry for being a little graphic here).
To sum everything up, I am so impressed with this Mighty Mite that I find I'm using this more than my upright during normal vacuuming!!!
