SHE, HER What else could Elle mean?

Elle is the most popular fashion magazine for women all over the world. I bought a copy to write this review and I must say I was surprised at how interesting the articles are. Of course it wasn't the American version I picked up as that is only a heavy perfume-sample log. The Québec version is in french. There were many articles such as one on female genital mutilation and an operation they found to restore the female genetalia so that African women can have sexual relations.
There is also a hilarious humor section that made me laugh to tears about how women want things and the opposite as well which is totally true.
The main idea one has when they buy Elle is the clothes in it. Well let me say that they weren't overly extravagant as I thought they would be but they are not mainstream clothes. Of course you will find a bathing suit at 200$ that is to be expected in a popular fashion magazine. The articles in it are very interesting and not always mentionned on the cover so you are always surprised to find something inside to read.
Unlike other fashion magazines, it has interesting ads and not overly sexual. The perfume samples are quite good, not the crap reaking stuff but light feathery scents such as Irresistible Givenchy,Black Kenneth Cole in the May 2004 issue.
An excellent and interesting thing about Elle is that I have never seen one diet pill, exercise machine or workout in the entire magazine. It is great that they don't pressure women to lose weight constantly. The models in Elle aren't starved and look generally healthy.

In the letters from the readers, they comment on previous issues. One reader said that Elle forms a bridge between her and her non-verbal daughter which helps them bond over fashion... who said fashion magazines were completely useless?
Elle takes care of all the reader's needs. It recently branched out into Elle Girl for teens and ElleDecor for the renovators in all of us.

I will keep reading Elle, it is a great magazine for all women!!
