Awesome Digital Camera
Pros:
Price; extensive features; detailed manual; great for novices through professionals; 10x zoom
Cons:
Many tiny buttons that are too close to each other; lag time between single shoots
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this camera highly, especially for people who want a digital camera that has 10x optical zoom and a lot of features.

The Kodak EasyShare Z7590 digital camera is the first full-featured digital camera I have purchased, and it was worth the wait. The camera is new as of May 2005, and it is an upgrade of the Kodak EasyShare DX7590 digital camera, which I almost purchased a few weeks ago at a higher price. I purchased it through Costco.com for $349 plus shipping & tax, which was the best price of any I saw on the net. I have yet to see it in real stores.
The camera has more features than I will probably ever use, but it is nice to know the features and optional extras (e.g., lenses) are available if I ever need them. If you go to Kodak.com, the complete spec's are available to view.
I bought the camera for five main reasons, and all of them have made me very pleased with the camera now that I have it and have used it. First, the price is very reasonable considering all the bells and whistles. Second, it practically doubles as binoculars (monoculars actually) with its 10x optical zoom. I love to take pictures of nature outside and closeups at NASCAR events, and this is the perfect camera for the price. Very clear, auto focus photos with 10x zoom. Third, it is 5.0 megapixel picture resolution, which allows for very high quality photos. Fourth, it includes the comprehensive EasyShare software, which allows me to view and organize the photos on both my Windows and Macintosh computers. Fifth, it has a lot of scene modes and color modes - the one I bought it for was the "sports" mode, which allows me to take wonderful shots of fast moving objects - specifically Jeff Gordon's #24 when I attend live NASCAR events several times a year. Though I haven't yet used it at the racetrack, I have tried it with passing cars on the street with great results.
I must add that I use a Palm Tungsten T3 at work, and I have purchased several SD memory cards for the Palm. What is wonderful is that the Kodak Z7590 uses SD cards as well, so I do not have to purchase additional cards, which saves me a lot of money. I purchased the cards through Buy.com, which has them on sale quite frequently.
Overall I am very happy with my wonderful camera. I am in the process of ordering an extra battery and a camera bag, now that I know it is a "keeper." An automobile charger would be nice too.
