Great Vacuum! I don't understand all the cons...
Pros:
Quiet, good suction, lots of attachments, easily maneuverable
Cons:
Could be about $150 cheaper, bin feels cheap, hard to recline at first.
The Bottom Line:
A recommended purchase!

Author's Review
This is my non-technical review of the Dyson DC15 Animal Ball upright. I am your average homemaker who loves to vacuum and couldn't wait to buy one. I have two hairy cats and a hairy golden retriever that helped me test out my new toy.
I have read a lot of reviews on here that feature some common "con's" to this vacuum. I have owned bagged and bagless vacuums in the past, so this is mostly a comparison. This vacuum cleaner is the quietest I have ever heard. I can't believe how many complaints I've read that it is noisy. It is much quieter than my bissell bagless.
The first thing I noticed which peeved me a bit was how hard it was to push the pedal in the back with your foot to get it to recline back. Perhaps that will ease up with time though.
Suction... well sure it's great. However, it's not that much better than my cheap Bissell ($125). I'm not too terribly impressed in that area in comparison. If your going from a bagged upright to this, then you will be very impressed. However, my carpet does look cleaner after I vacuum. I am not into the whole allergy aspect of it, so I really don't know the benefits of the Dyson over others.
I like the fact that you push a button and you can dump your canister into a bag. The canister feels really cheap, so hopefully it doesn't break or shatter.
As for the attachments, I haven't really had a chance to use most of them yet so I can't speak for those. I had 3 big and bulky attachments come with it, that I still don't know what are for. They came in a box within the box that also had th e "Zorb" cleaner in it. There are no instructions that tell you what those are for though.
My favorite part is the fact that I can run it over my linoleum kitchen floor and it doesn't kick back anything like my other cleaners would.. sucks great!
The bottom line: It sucks! Really.... :) It's worth it if you really love to vacuum and see all the nastiness come out of your carpet.
Here's a tip: Buy it online, but first do a search for coupon codes. I got mine for $515 at HSN.com with free shipping and no tax, as opposed to $599 + shipping + tax because I found a good code.
