Dude Ranch Rocks

I bought Dude Ranch when it came out, and it has been my favorite Cd ever since. It saddens me to hear kids cheering for Blink-182 that have never heard it before.

The lyrics are meaningful and true to life, like in Dammit and Apple Shampoo, and yet, in the grand tradition of Blink, humorous, as in Voyeur.

The poppy sounds of their new music contrast with the more punk sounds of Dude Ranch. I know that many do not consider it punk in the true sense of the word, but it is closer than 'Enema of the State' or 'Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.'

The music is amazing. The guitar is strong, the bass entertaining, and Scott was a great drummer. This is Blink at their best and prime. I recommend it strongly to even those who view Blink with a raised eyebrow.
