Author's Review
I brough this Truck from the Fed's at local auction on June 2002 with 54,000 miles.
I own the 6 cyl, 3.9, Automatic, 2 wheel drive. (I don't recomend any Truck with 4 cyl engines, specially used ones)
The seats are fine for a 2 hour drive or so, if you want better ones, the Extra cab truck comes with adjusting seats.
The first month the Air conditioning starting going off along with the AC Blower when driving(Not fun with the 115 degrees summer). I conected a jumper wire to the AC-Heather-control panel and found that it was a bad control and Not the Blower motor as I though. Therefore I went to the Dodge Dealer and purchased one brand new for $125.00(don't recomend used ones that can sell for about $60 and may be burn), I also purchased one Transmission Overdrive switch for about $40.00
It is being like 7 months I own the Truck and it is being good so far, like 1 month ago I had put it new paint and looks nice.
Looks like the rear-left axle sometimes makes noise when I really push the gas to the floor, It probably will need a rebuilt, but I thing it can do many thousand miles more before I need the repair, if that. (it only does that when I push the truck to the limits)
I also have replaced the starter motor with a rebuild from Autozone(some days When I tried to start, the selenoid will just 'click' without turning the starter on). It is being working fine now.
If I recall ok I thing All the parts that I have been replacing were still the original Genuine Chrysler parts, which I thing is good that made ok up to the 54000 miles.
I thing it is a good truck, It's being a few months now since it does not need anything, it gives good mileage for the gas, also it still has a good and strong engine.
