Disney Cars tv/dvd combo

I purchased this for a Christmas present for my 4 yr old from Big Lots, it was factory reconditioned. He loved it. The tv looks great. We set it up but since we don't have cable in the room we only played dvd's on it. We used it less than 2 weeks and only at night to watch dvd's before bedtime (while the kids were on break from school) and all of a sudden it stopped working. When you try to cut it on, it just cut off by itself. The kids did not touch the tv at all, only adults operated the tv. I though since it was reconditioned maybe that was the problem. But after reading the other reviews I am beginning to wonder. I returned the tv to the store it was purchased from. I was thinking of buying another one, but maybe not. I have the same concerns as the other reviewers. I also considered sending it back to the company to have it repaired, they included a number on the manual in the box to call if you had any problems, but by the time I paid to ship it to them and to have it shipped back to me it was not cost effective. I got a great price on it but it was not worth the problem or my childs disappointment. Buy something else more reliable.
