It's Harder to Die the Second Time Around

Most sequels lose something in the translation. This is not one of those. Die Hard 2: Die Harder is perhaps a faster paced and more exciting movie than it's sire, the original Die Hard.

Bruce Willis is back as his harried cop John McClane. McClane is trying again to meet his wife... this time at DC's Dulles airport. This time it's a commando unit of terrorists in a snowstorm... yes, it's Christmas time again... that Willis finds himself at odds with.

Funny how this guy can turn up at the most inopportune of times. Funny how he always manages to come through when he has to.

The cast includes John Amos and Fred Thompson who turn in fine performances, but this IS Willis' vehicle, lest anybody should be mistaken! His on-the-fly decision making helps nail the bad-guys ane once again save his wife and lots of other people.

For the trivia buffs, Colm Meaney (Chief O'Brien from Star Trek's Next Generation & Deep Space Nine) has a brief role as does Dennis Franz (as a cop... go figure...)

Of the three movies in this trilogy, this one might be my favorite. It's at least as good as the first.
