Very intense

This is a rewritten version of the original, apparently using more up-to-date material as far as the technical aspects are concerned. I never read the original, so I don't know how they would compare. He keeps you on the edge of your seat with this story as you follow the "life" of an artificial intelligence program that has become self-aware. The fight of the woman against the program is intense. The personality given to the program is one of extreme machismo so often seen in men making fools of themselves trying to get what they want.
The book reminds me of another one I read, _The Adolescence of P-1_, also having to do with an AI program that "learned" much more quickly and to a greater degree than expected. I've read _Demon Seed_ twice, and it was just as good the second time around.
