Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine

After my Regal maker blew a belt and I couldnt get a replacement I decided on the Cuisinart. Unpacked it, set washed out the parts and proceeded to mix my first batch of basic bread. When I lifted up the cover to put the basket in the left hinge broke off and the lid fell to the counter. I will take it back and get a replacement. It was easy to use, had more cycle options than my old one. Will update in more detail when I have used it.

Update: I did use the maker as the broken lid latch was not detremental to its bread making. I made the basic bread loaf and found that even on light setting the crust was quite dark, thick and tough. I can't even visualize what the dark setting would do. I then tried another loaf with the same results.

I ended up taking it back for a refund.
