The Bottom Line: With its own quirks, "Consumer Reports" is an average magazine, often with a solid methodology, but just as frequently unclear numbers of tests on all sorts of products.

Better to borrow than to buy

The Bottom Line: I recommend using Consumer Reports if borrowed from a library. Epinions and other groups will eventually replace it. "It ain't what it was, no way."
Review: Consumer Reports may be helpful, but its worth comes as something to borrow from a public library rather than being worth the money it charges. The magazine is a far cry from the genuine trustworthy authority it once was. And as for information,...
