I stepped up from a Cavalier!
Pros:
sporty, handling, comfort for all, back seats fold down for extra trunk room.
Cons:
like any plastic interior parts, they can snap
The Bottom Line:
Definitely a step-up from your average 2-door sedan!

Author's Review
After my daughter drove a 94 Cavalier to high school/college for three years, she wanted something a little more sporty looking, and with ample room. She found this used Sebring and fell in love with it.
It's green with gold body striping, has the imitation wood grain trim on the interior (dash and center console). To my eye, it looks a little cheesy for fake wood grain, but the color compliments the green nicely. It has been very reliable, even in the snow, and has not required any maintenance other than the 3000 mile oil changes I do on all my cars.
As can often happen with plastic knobs, we have had a couple snap off - they are the seat adjustment levers that move the seat forward/back. Now all you have is the bare metal lever stub, which works but feels much less comfortable than the sculpted knob. I have not checked to see if there are after-market replacements, but I intend to.
Also, during the recent cold snap, a peculiar occurrence happened with the center console shifter. There is a plastic cover, covering the open slot where the shifter must travel from full forward (park?) to full back (lowest gear? Not sure of tranny positions without looking!) which slides in a plastic track. Well, this cover somehow developed a warp near the stick, and popped out of the track it slides in (while the car was parked). With nowhere to move, the shifter was jammed. This could have been dangerous had the car been in gear, and unable to be parked. We were able to force it back into the track with a flat-blade screwdriver. It seems to be staying put for now.
If you are looking at a Sebring, definitely check this slot part to see if it travels freely. I plan to lightly lubricate this part from now on to prohibit any unexpected binding in the future.
That was a lot of text for a relatively minor problem - overall she loves this car, and gets very good mileage. Visibility of the instrument panel is excellent, and access to controls and radio is easy. Back space roominess is GREAT (spoken as a true passenger!).
