The good and bad of soft tops

I rented this car and saw many design flaws. The interior is attractive in a very American way. However, for the cost, you are getting way too few bells and whistles. The top is designed poorly and my rental already had rips from where the folding mechanism did not seat well. The engine is laughable. Because of the extra weight in this convertible, even a Hyundai subcompact can out run you. Coupled with poor fuel economy, sloppy transmission and lack of special touches, I would avoid this car at all costs.
