Just a basic car

The Bottom Line: Cheap basic transportation
My 1993 ford ranger just hit 250,000 miles and i figured it was time for a new car. after some searching i reluctantly looked at the Aveo. It was basic, cheap, and not all that bad to drive, and most important GMAC would finance me. that is what lead to me buying this car nearly one year ago. So far i have put nearly 20,000 miles on the car and i have kept up on regular maintenance. it gets me around town well and keeps up with traffic on the freeways, even in Detroit where people tend to ignore the speed limit signs. its not the best looking car, i got some laughs from friends when i bought it and my sister will not ride with me because she is embarrassed to be seen in it. All in all it is a good car but it has some problems. the cheap price means cheap materials. i have 2 small dents in the car one from a shopping cart and the other from leaning up against it the steal seems very thin. I can't seem to pull theses dents all the way out. on occasion my car will sputter a bit on startup... not really sure why but the dealer assures me its normal. Also it seems a little loud for a car of its size. once in a while the gas cap will not open the cheap little plastic mechanism that opens it is broken already (dealer is going to replace under warranty). the interior looks nice for an inexpensive car, however the plastic is thin, i already broke a hole in the passenger side kick panel. ad the bash scuffs up easily.
aside from these minor annoyances the car runs and drives well and i would recommend it to anyone looking for cheap basic transportation.
