I've had mine for a little over 2 weeks and love it! Chevy really put some thought into this little 2-seater truck.
I went to my Chevy dealer planning to test drive and buy the Colorado. The salesman is a buddy of mine, and he let me take the SSR for a test drive while he wrapped up some paperwork with another couple. I'd gone about 100' down the highway when I realized that I didn't want to buy the Colorado, I wanted THIS truck!!!
It's got an awesome exhaust note, stock. And the automatic retractable top? It's fun to show it to people and watch their mouths drop open. It's pretty quick too.
The bucket seats are comfortable, and they are heated. It's a nice touch, cuz it lets you still drive with the top down when the weather is cooler. And the stereo rocks - mine has a 6-cd in-dash player, which I really appreciate. I like being able to change out a CD without digging under my seat.
And do people ever give you the looks! I've had young kids holler "cool car", people roll down their window and ask what it is, and thumbs up from all ages. I recently took my mom for a drive and she was astounded when we brought a whole blacktop paving crew to a standstill when we drove past. It is sharp looker.
A nice, subtle feature is the windows. When you open the doors, the windows drop about 1/2". This lets the door close easier than most. After the door is closed, the windows raise back up. It's slick. The tonneau cover has a remote control unlock/open on the key fob. That's nice, cuz I can open it as I approach, throw my stuff in the bed, close it down and go.
So far, I haven't found anything that I hate about the truck. The one thing that I am a little disappointed about is that reaching the seat controls is a tight fit; there's not much room between the seat and the closed door. The rest of the cabin is extremely spacious though, and once the seats are set, there's no reason to be moving them around. The seats are programmable to two drivers.
The truck bed is smaller than a normal truck bed, but then this isn't a normal truck!
All this, and 300 HP to boot! It's not necessarily the quickest out off the line, the truck is pretty heavy really, but it's definitely got some power.
MPG is standard truck - 16 to 20.
