Love my Celebrity

We've had our 1988 Celebrity for 12 years now and it has 239,000 miles on it. We bought it used and have not had any major problems with it. Just the usual wear and tear of replacing tires and brakes, but we also commuted to and from work 60 -100 miles a day.

Lately we have had to replace the alternator and it is not going to last much longer. They said we needed a new computer in it last July and so far it is still running well without us replacing it. The paint is faded and it should be repainted and the headliner has fallen out. But we cannot complain too much with all the miles we have gotten out of this car.

My teenagers are driving it now too, and it still runs so well that we have to watch out for speeding, it can get away from us in a heartbeat. I would love to get another celebrity, but am afraid that we would not have the same results with another one that we had with this one.

I am looking for another car now, knowing that this will probably be the year that it will be replaced, and feel like I'm losing a best friend.
