THE SOUL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT
Date of Review: Sep 1, 2000
Here's a wonderful book with soul about the soul. I just recently came across this book called Care Of The Soul and found it to be absolutely soul-stimulating and inspirational.
Thomas Moore writes in a very thought-provoking style, yet in a simplistic manner which allows deep thought along with fast reading and heart-felt words of wisdom for soul absorption.
Chaptures include: The Myth of Family and Childhood, which reminds us parents to allow the individualization of expression to be developed freely as we love and nurture those gifts of life we call our children, our loved ones, our family.
Also The Need for Myth, Ritual, and A Spiritual Life is a chapture that gives better understanding of the importance of learning other qualities of holiness or respect for soul by the practice and structures of religious gatherings and organizations. The spirit or care of the soul is the focus and inspired when remembered in those quiet, within moments found in prayer.
This book also touches on the ideas of how the illness of the body can be an aspect of our own ideas of alienation of soul or lack of a spiritual connection with self-worth which allows for self-contradicting and painful feelings instead of genuine happiness hindering the the soul's ability to express it's true worth of loving creativity.
I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a soul boost and anyone who just enjoys the inner feelings of why Love is so important to define and express.
Thomas Moore has also written another book as a follow-up to this one which is called The Soul of Sex, and I look forward to reading and maybe reviewing this national bestseller as well.
