Great scanner for the price.

The Bottom Line: Buy it. At this price, You Can't go wrong.
I have owned a few of these canon scanners, in various models, over the years. I have never had any problems with them at all.
They are small, and ultra portable, which is great if you need a high quality scanner 'on the go'. The fact that they are also USB powered means one less cable cluttering up the desktop.
The small profile of the scanner, in addition to making it very portable, means that it also takes up less space on your desk.
The software that it comes with is OK for a lot of peoples needs, but I never really use it, I scan right into photoshop, so all I am worried about is the drivers.
I find that the color reproduction is great, I don't have to do very much adjustment when I am scanning either color or black and white photos, or with artwork.
Construction is fairly rugged. I've owned more than one, I upgraded when they went to a higher resolution model, and dropped one onto the floor, which didn't make it. I have no complaints about the quality.
I have never had an issue that has required me to call tech support. It is plug any play- and it has always worked when I needed it to.
Installation couldn't be simpler. Insert the CD, Run the installer, plug it in, and start scanning. Great value.
