Canoe and Kayak Magazine has been an alternative to Paddler magazine for quite some time. The difference between Canoe and Kayak and Paddler is that Canoe and Kayak focuses much more on sea kayaking and flatwater kayaking and canoeing than Paddler does. This magazine is great for those of you who aren't into the whole extreme waterfall scene. In this magazine you can read about new products, new places to take your canoe, and strategies on how to paddle correctly. It doesn't focus on rafting at all, but does include a bit of whitewater kayaking. Each year it comes out with one whitewater kayaking issue that usually is great. If you are a whitewater kayaker, I'd recommend Paddler magazine.
