when you are serious look elsewhere

Ok, I read this magazine when I'm in Barnes and Noble and I've looked through the others. Depends on what you are interested in. If you like to paddle a canoe at the lake with the kids and a dog twice a year, this mag is for you. No problem.

As pointed out in another opinion, there is not enough kayaking in this particular publication. And for me that means sea kayaking, the greatest of all sports that challenges ones ability to navigate, plan, endure, stay calm and enjoy the best the planet has to offer, its oceans.

My real plug is for Sea Kayaker magazine, to which I subscribe. This mag has it all.

Each month finds excellent in depth reviews of a few sea kayaks, equipment reviews, and most importantly, incredible stories from people who paddle in amazing places and circumstances. If you want to or do, sea kayak, don't waste your time anywhere else, get Sea Kayaker.

If you are a weekend paddler out for a leisurley experience, then Canoe and Kayak is your magazine.
