Product Review

What a work horse ! ! ! ! !

by   chiefrock ,   Nov 28, 2003

Pros:  comfortable, reliable, long lasting and wont quit, parts are cheap.

Cons:  one door and one window malfuction on the powered ones.

The Bottom Line:  The car is a work horse and wont quit on you. Might have to replace brake pads but thats it. Maybe a starter. I would recommend it 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

Well....1st off i would say that the Lesabre is one of my favorite cars that i have driven. When i first got it i noticed how much room there was in this car, the seats were really really comfortable. The car takes off so fast you kinda underestimate how good the motor really is. Now when i first got this car it was just dumb luck that i got it. I had no idea how far it was going to take me. I think it had around 200,000 kms on it already and i had no idea about cars and if that was a bad thing. All i knew is that i need a car to get me around for work and play. I do travel alot and coming from Canada to NYC and back was quite the trip.

I did that trip alot and i also went way south with this car and only having one problem other then having to change the brakes. The problem was the starter, it wore out within my area. Anyways the whole point is i ended up with about 396,000 kms (3yrs later)on the car when i was finished with it. I sold it and bought another car with the money(Merc Sable)i will never buy another merc again. After that i got a Ford Thunderbird which blew its head gasket. Then i got a Chevy Lumina car which ended up having a gas leak in the tank + the gas line and needed a converter.

The engine started having problems as well. It has been another 3yrs now and lots of money wasted on these other cars. I finally bought another Buick Lesabre on the same day i was thinking about how much i had missed driving it and missed how great it was in the snow, missed how dependable it was as well. The cost for me was 300CDN to buy and about $300 to fix up brakes, rotors, mufflers which is well worth the money cause of the low km on it 180,000. Body is in great condition (almost no rust)and so is the interior. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who travels alot or who just like a comfortable ride.

Peace
Chief Rock
