Good for home, but beware of the ink

I have been very happy with the versatility of this machine. I can send a fax, print a photo from a memory card, copy documents at home, and print from the computer. It would be nice if I could print on an envelope, or do double-sided documents, but for the size and weight, it is very capable to do home tasks.

The big down side is that the ink is not cheap, and you cannot refill the cartridges. Even though the printer will declare that a cartridge is empty, there is always a good bit left. You must replace, rather than refill the container, plus, the machine won't perform any function unless you have replaced all the empty ink containers.

I also think that the scanning quality could be better. All the photos I have scanned have a distinct grainy look to them.
