Awesome Quality, Low Price Home Printer

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a really awesome laser printer that is cheap, this one is for you
I saw that Staples had this printer on with a $50 off rebate, and reviews show that this printer is way better then the Samsung ML1710 Laser Printer so I went for it.
I wanted to have a printer that the three computers that I have could use and my failure with the Lexmark x73 made me look harder this time. There are no real reviews on networking this printer but let me tell you. NO PROBLEMS! ;-) I took the CD that was supplied in the box and ploped it into my server.

When you put the CD in it starts a flash menu system which is VERY easy to follow. So for the fun of it I decided to go through the whole thing.
First thing it asks you is "Are you using a Parallel Cable or USB". So I selected USB.
This presentation tells you how to do everything. If my mom was to try to hook this up, this presentation could walk her through it. Step by step the entire way. The part that I wasn't sure about cause I've never done it before was the toner cartridge. Guess what, the video showed me how to and I was able to put it in.
If you miss a step in the video, don't worry, you can go back and see it again.
After all the hardware was setup the CD tells you to plug in the USB cable. Did that and it finished the installation of the drivers.
So After the installation was complete I tested it from my server. Worked awesome, first try. Then I installed it as a network printer on my machine, test print, worked awesome. Same with my girlfriend's computer, worked first try.
This is a fast printer too. Rated at 15 ppm, that is fast. I rated it about the same (printed a 5 page document and each page took about 4-5 seconds).
I haven't been able to test the length of time the cartridge lasts, but the 3000 page estimate depending on graphics should be more then enough for my mini-home office.
Three really great things about this printer:
Small foot print.
250 page paper tray
Powers down when not in use, takes about 10 seconds to power up
This is an awesome printer so far, highly recommended.
