A Printer for the Small Business that makes Copies everyday

Well I bought this printer at Staples- they delievered it right to the office free of charge, plus I was able to take advantage of a rebate coupon.

I bought the DCP-8040 laser printer after much research and because I was spending an astronmical amount of money on copies across the street from our office. They were charging me for sorting, stapling, colored paper, booklets...all extra charges that were ridiculous. I love having this Brother DCP-8040 Printer because I can make approximately 7500 copies from just one toner cartridge (TN-520). You have to change the drum cartridge approximately every 25 000 pages (but i usually let it go to like 75k)- I learned that changing a drum is like changing the whole inside of the printer.

The printer holds approximately 50 pages; It is easy to load. The copier sorts, magnifies, reduces...basically everything you need for a small office. It does not staple for your unfortunately!

This printer prints approximately 30 pages/minutes

The DCP-8040 Brother printer is a great buy for small businesses or the home office.

The ink cartridge costs about $94.99- we replace ours every 21 days approximately. The Drum cost about $167.99; both are available at Staples.

**Keep the paper you are copying with in a plastic bag that is tightly closed, not exposed to air. It makes a big difference when you copy with this laser printer. If you leave the paper out, it curls when it prints- that can be very annoying when you are doing double sided copies, like for a newsletter.
