Brother IntelliFAX 1820C Plain Paper Inkjet Fax

First off, although I have never written a review for a product online before, I've relied on many reviews to make a purchase and do see the value in them. But I feel so strongly about this Fax machine as being a complete waste of money that I feel compelled to write something to possibly save someone the money I wasted.
I originally bought the product for the combo color printer / fax and although it performed ok as both, as everyone says, this thing wastes ink like no other. There is no setting to adjust it and the thing will clean itself every night for minutes on end. If you don't use it, in less than a month you will need to purchase another 60+ dollars worth of ink.
Not sure if Brother did this on purpose to make larger profits on their proprietary inks but a class action lawsuit should be in order on this piece of junk!
Mine has literally sat still, blinking that it is out of ink for months now as I have only used it to send faxes. I purchased a new one today, and I specifically avoided all Brother products at the store.
I have the desire to take the otherwise perfectly functioning printer and maim and destroy the thing on video and submit it to You Tube for public viewing.
Stay far far away from this product. It is not worth it even if you get it for free!
