Author's Review
We have had a subscription to Bottom Line Personal for about a year now. It was recommended by family members who have subscribed for years. I have found it informative and easy to follow.
My parents have subscribed to this magazine for many years. They have a well-established financial portfolio and children who range in age from 31-13. My husband and I have been married for almost four years, we have one infant daughter, and our portfolio is in the fledgling stages. Both families find the magazine informative and interesting, with a wide range of subjects and advice inside.
Since the layout of the magazine gives pieces and articles that are short but direct, it is easy to peruse and find the information that applies directly to a specific situation. I particularly enjoy the "You and your...." section at the end that give small snippets of information about everything from personal hygiene to buying cars. These items direct you to discounts, articles, websites, etc. that apply to all aspects of daily life. And the longer articles dealing with stocks, investing, and health are contributed by experts in the specific fields, so one feels confident that the advice being given is well-researched and worthy of attention.
I do not subscribe to other money magazines so I cannot compare this to others I read regularly. I just know that, as someone who is relatively new to long-term investing and household management, this magazine provides valuable information that is easy to follow and can be applied to my everyday routine.
