For Young and Old Alike

The View From Saturday is one of the most well written books that I've read. It doesn't just let us into the mind of one character, or narrator, but rather, into four very unique characters. The interesting thing about View From Saturday is the opportunity to contrast four different characters, on many different levels. There are religious differences, cultural differences, gender differences, and even economic differences. These are at the root of a truly genuine piece of work by Koninglsly.

This book is recommended for 5-6 grade level, but I enjoyed it as an elementary school teacher. I believe that a truly good book is one that is thought provoking, and also gives the reader some small insight on how to either become a better person, or make the world a better place. After all, a book is a message from the author to the reader, and no better place than a book to send out a message of hope. That is the message that I received from The View From Saturday.
