Who is The Millionaire Next Door
Date of Review: Jul 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: This book is a must read for anybody who wonders what steps it takes to build wealth or to preserve wealth.
Recently, I was browsing through my local Waldenbooks and I came across Dr. Stanley Thomas and Dr. William Danko's The Millionaire Next Door. I browsed through the book and decided to purchase it. As I was reading the book, I realized that I was glad that I purchased it.
Dr. Stanley and Dr. Danko offer an insight into how a millionaire's mind works and how the mind of would-be millionaires work. They offer an insight into how high-income producers usually fall into the category of under accumulator of wealth (UAW). They also talk about how people that you would not think of as being wealthy (i.e contractors) become wealthy by being prodigious accumulator of wealth (PAW).
Some of the other beneficial material that they present is that many wealthy people live far below their means. They also believe that most wealthy people take the time to budget and allocate their spending in order to be a PAW.
This book is a great read for anybody, whether you are just starting to build your wealth or if you are someone wondering why you have a high-level income but no net worth.
