The Bottom Line: A great romance story.
Star, the story of a small town Florida girl who gets a chance at Hollywood. She starts out in Arcady Key, Florida where she is in a bad relationship with a cheating a__hole and is a waitress trying to save money for cosmetology school. She is discovered by Mann magazine and the rags to riches begins. She goes to L.A. with a set of mismatched luggage and not sure what to expect. She is swept up into a lavish world of riches and great scenery. The story is filled with sex and men. Though we all know that this has to be Pam's story - as it is well known that "Star" makes her way to the top because of her beautiful body. We must now ask ourselves, wouldn't we give our right arm to be in the same situation. I never really knew Pamela Anderson until I read her column in Jane Magazine and I saw her for who she truly is - that same small town girl Star is that loves animals and will give anyone a chance. Maybe if we all had that big heart the world would be a better place.
I feel this book was well-written - a lot better than the usual Harliquan. Pam leaves the ending open for a sequel and I will buy it to read. There is a lot of romance and a lot of rags to riches - not much suspense but when we read romance do we really look for suspense.
