Much more than a "False Memory"

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Overall, I found the book to be quite entertaining, very intense, and suspenseful.
Review: *Note: This review was one of the first reviews that I had written when I began at epinions around June of 2001. I have recently revised it because I was just not happy with it. Thank you to those that had rated it in it?s first version.

Erase this book from my memory.

Date of Review:  Feb 5, 2001
The Bottom Line: A book that has managed to completely turn me away from an author I had previously enjoyed. This book is fit only for use as kindling.
Review: I've read other books by Koontz and enjoyed them, so I was a little more than disappointed when I slugged my way through this rambling, dull, turkey of a novel. The only reason I even bothered finishing it was because I was stuck in the bush with...

Review: Update 5-1-00

Sorry it took me so long to update this review! With epinions problems it has been next to impossible! I'm sure you understand!

I finished this book 2 days after I wrote the original review. It was a good book,...

False Memory is Memorable!!

Date of Review:  Jan 26, 2000
Review: I love Dean Koontz!! He is a master of suspense. This book was intense and I could hardly put it down. The only thing that I didn't like was the Dr.'s name. Dr. Ahriman. It was a give away to what he was like. Ahriman is believed to be a demon god...

Worth the money

Date of Review:  Oct 25, 2001
The Bottom Line: A thrilling ride through the mind of a psychotic. You'll never view a therapist the same way again.
Review: If you are as much of a fan of Dean Koontz like I am, then you will not be disappointed with this novel. It is Koontz at his psychological best. This is a story about a wonderful young woman named Martie, who is suddenly onset with a psychosis that...

I won't remember much of Dean Koontz's False Memory

Date of Review:  May 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: Read it if you love Koontz and have a great ability to suspend your disbelief. I';ll recommend it on those very limited terms.
Review: I enjoy most of Dean Koontz's novels, but had a hard time getting through False Memory without rolling my eyes so much I gave myself a headache. I read an interview Mr. Koontz gave where he said he was first afraid he wouldn't be able to make this...

"It's 2 days old, that's like, eighty-six in lasagna years"

Date of Review:  Jun 19, 2002
The Bottom Line: It's an on the edge of the seat, unable to put it down kind of book. It's a thriller in the best sense of the word.
Review: This is a wonderful book.

I could stop my review right there, but I won't, I promise. False memory chronicles the story of Dusty and Martie Rhodes and their battle with un-explainable phobias, missing peices of time, and reoccuring...

Ever want to bite off the president's nose?

Date of Review:  Dec 19, 2000
Review: If you're like me and you'll read anything, but sometimes get "lazy" and like a book that practically reads itself, then chances are you're already familiar with Dean Koontz. "False Memory" is not a break from his typical style and though the...

False Memory by Dean Koontz Just Didn't Ring True

Date of Review:  Aug 24, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you've never read Koontz' books, or only read a few, you will probably enjoy this book. Avid readers of his books, may feel like they've read it before.
Review: Dean Koontz and Stephen King have always been in competition to be my favorite author. I think after reading this book, King definitely took the lead.

False Memory is a book that left me feeling like I had bought a book that I'd read...

What can you say? It's Koontz!

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2000
Review: I couldn't wait to write a review for this book, and I'm not even
finished with it yet. Yet another fantastical story, edge of your seat, can't put it down (except for the few moments to write a glowing opinion!), excellent Dean Koontz book...
