Author's Review
Belkin has always made great products. I love their cables, USB hubs, and Omni Ports. For the gamer in you, they have developed the Nostromo n50. This thing is LETHAL. Are you one of those people who play WAY too much (Insert name of first person shooter game here)? Anyone who uses a keyboard for playing computer games knows that after a while, your fingers will get cramped using the "WASD" keys. The Nostomo n50 totally replaces your keyboard, and aligns the keys in a non-skewed fashion, so your fingers don't get tired. It also adds a throttle wheel (which you won't use too much in first person shooters) and a direction pad for your thumb. The Nostromo n50 feels so good in your hand, that it just feels natural. The 10 keys can be programed however you wish, along with the throttle wheel and direction pad. Here's the kicker - you can assign one key as the shift key, which will QUADRUPLE the function keys by assigning a different function to that key each time the shift key is pressed. The n50 has three LEDs that will let you know which "shift" is currently activated - (none) Normal Profile, Red Profile, Green Profile, and Blue Profile. The shift can be momentary (only activated when you hold the shift key down) or toggle. The n50 is easily programmable by using the included software. It also includes some pre-programmed profiles for popular games. The n50 is connected via USB, so you will need Windows 95 OSR2 or higher. Mac users are out of luck. I have Windows XP on my machine, and it works fine. Just follow the included instructions to install the n50 properly.
